Mobile police leaders push back on report that criticized use of force
Mobile police leaders have pushed back against an outside “use of force” review critical of the department’s behavior toward Black residents.
Those leaders in the department’s command staff said in a statement Friday the release of some information in the report could compromise criminal investigations.
“Two of the cases reviewed in the use of force report have not been presented to the grand jury,” the command staff statement said. “The information of these cases, for legal reasons, should not have been released.”
