The victim in September’s shooting at a nightclub in Mobile has died of his injuries nearly a month after the incident, police said Thursday.

Derrick Shaver was shot at Bank Nighlife at 271 Azalea Rd. around 2:26 a.m. Sept. 18, Mobile police said at the time.

Shaver was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He died of those injuries Oct. 8, Mobile police Cpl. Katrina Frazier said Thursday.

The suspect, who fled the scene of the nightclub shooting, has not yet been apprehended.
