Mobile man convicted in 2021 gas station murder
After an hour and a half of deliberations on Wednesday, a Mobile County jury handed down a guilty verdict for a man charged with murder at a south Alabama gas station in 2021.
According to the Mobile County District Attorney’s office, Mario Osborne Jr. was convicted in the killing of Jarvis Anderson.
Osborne walked up to Anderson at a Chevron gas station and shot him in the head court documents stated.
“This type of violence will not be tolerated in Mobile County,” Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said. “We remain steadfast in our dedication to pursuing justice and ensuring that those who commit such brazen acts are held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
Osborne is set to be sentenced March 10 in the courtroom of Judge Jill Phillips.
