‘Mobile is trying to find its place in culture:’ Q&A with Brad Custred, founder of The Social Experiment

Brad Custred is a local entrepreneur and businessman. He founded the BC Collective, which is a collection of business on Government Street, including AVA, a national property management and marketing company.

A year ago, Custred opened The Social Experiment on the first floor of his building, which houses Knucklebones Elixir Company, a coffee shop and soon-to-be cocktail bar, Beard & Blade, a barbershop, and TSE Events, an event space. Each is designed to be unique and to, in his words, “create extraordinary moments out of everyday things.”

Here, the entrepreneur discusses the future of The Social Experiment, his vision for the company and how the company fits into a changing Mobile.
