Mobile grandmother charged in 13-year-old’s cocaine overdose death
A grandmother and another adult have been charged in the cocaine overdose death of a 13-year-old male Tuesday afternoon.
Mobile police were called to Springhill Hospital shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday after a report that a 13-year-old had gone into cardiac arrest and died due to an overdose.
Testing would reveal the victim had overdosed on cocaine.
The grandmother, 53-year-old Sophia Dianne Taylor, and 56-year-old Marc Antonio Robinson were arrested and charged with chemical endangerment of a child.
Both remained in Mobile Metro Jail as of Wednesday afternoon.
