Mobile firefighter injured battling fire at vacant house
A Mobile firefighter was injured while fighting a Sunday afternoon blaze.
According to Mobile Fire-Rescue, the incident happened at about 4:25 p.m. in the 2100 block of Height Street.
The first units arrived within a couple of minutes and reported seeing heavy smoke and flames visible from a vacant single-story residence that was fully involved.
After a search, no one was found inside.
One firefighter received a non life-threatening injury and was transported to an area hospital to be checked out.
Crews remained on the scene for several hours.
