Mobile City Councilmember discusses policing, revitalizing downtown

William Carroll represents District 2 on the Mobile City Council, a wide-ranging district that encompasses downtown Mobile, Africatown and many of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. Carroll was previously on the council from 2005-2013 and returned to the council in 2021.

Carroll grew up in Mobile and graduated from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School. He is the proprietor of Carroll, Inc., a construction firm in the city. Here, he discusses revitalizing some of Mobile’s underserved neighborhoods and two ordinances related to policing in Mobile.
