Boykin Park in Theodore could soon be sold, but the Mobile City Council decided Tuesday not to accept a deal with D.R. Horton for the 19-acre park.

“Although it’s not being used right now, that doesn’t mean we should throw it away or give it away,” Councilmember Ben Reynolds, who objected to the deal, said. “The taxpayer deserves better.”
