Mobile Christian dominates Hillcrest-Evergreen

Another week, another dominating defensive performance by Mobile Christian.

The Leopards (7-0 overall, 4-0 in Class 3A, Region 1) allowed only 91 yards in a 42-0 victory over Hillcrest-Evergreen at Harrison Field in Mobile.

Mobile Christian has allowed 42 points this season and now has three shutouts.

The Leopards jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter, as Aaron Rogers caught a 58-yard pass from Damien Gatson, Carson Stiles scored on a 49-yard punt return, and Jordan Woullard scored on a 13-yard run. The Mobile Christian defense did the rest.

Hillcrest (0-6, 0-4) ran 46 plays, meaning Mobile Christian allowed less than 2 yards per play, and the Jaguars managed only three first downs. The Jaguars were 2-for-12 on third down and 0-for-4 on fourth-down conversions.
