Mobile and Baldwin counties under a high wind warning Monday and Tuesday

On Sunday at 2:45 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning valid from Monday 4 p.m. until Tuesday 9 a.m. for Mobile and Baldwin counties.

The weather service states, “South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.”

“Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” comments the weather service. “People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.”
