Mobile Airport Authority clarifies former chairman’s new role
The former chairman of the Mobile Airport Authority will serve the next six years as the chairman emeritus with the board, according to a news release the agency sent out Wednesday clarifying the changes.
The release from the Mobile Airport Authority also says that Elliot Maisel — who sent the past eight years as the board’s chairman and oversaw the evolution of commercial aviation in Mobile — did not resign from his post as chairman, as originally reported by the MAA on Monday. Maisel, instead, “has chosen to move into the role” of chairman emeritus.
