4 Consecutive losses for Auburn, which comes into Saturday’s game following defeats by Texas A&M, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss. If the Tigers lose to Mississippi State, Auburn would have three consecutive seasons with at least a five-game losing streak in each, something that hasn’t happened since the 1946, 1947 and 1948 campaigns. Since 1948, Auburn has had six years with at least a five-game in-season losing streak. The Tigers went 0-10 in 1950 and had a five-game losing streak in the 1952, 1999, 2012, 2021 and 2022 seasons. Last season, Auburn lost to Mississippi State 39-33 in overtime to reach a five-game losing streak.

Auburn QB Payton Thorne has 259 rushing yards, RB Brian Battle has 182, QB Robby Ashford has 180 and RB Jeremiah Cobb has 150.

10 Consecutive seasons have included at least four losses for Auburn after the Tigers fell to Ole Miss 28-21 last week. That’s the longest uninterrupted streak of four-or-more-loss seasons in school history. Auburn had 14 consecutive seasons with at least four losses from 1938 through 1952, but the Tigers did not field a team in the 1943 season, with five of the seasons before that break and nine after it. Since posting a 12-2 record in 2013, Auburn has gone 8-5 in 2014, 7-6 in 2015, 8-5 in 2016, 10-4 in 2017, 8-5 in 2018, 9-4 in 2019, 6-5 in 2020, 6-7 in 2021 and 5-7 in 2022.

43 Consecutive games with a reception for Mississippi State RB Jo’quavious “Woody” Marks, who has caught a pass in every game in his college career. Marks holds the school record for consecutive games with a reception and for receptions with 209.

62 Victories for Auburn, 31 victories for Mississippi State and three ties in the series. The official record is 65-29-2 because of penalties imposed on Mississippi State. The Tigers and Bulldogs have played annually since 1955.

75 Years since an Auburn coach lost his first five conference games. In 1948, Earl Brown’s Tigers started the season with two non-conference games – a 20-14 victory over Southern Miss and a 13-13 tie with Louisiana Tech – then lost their remaining eight games – seven conference contests and setback against Clemson. Auburn has an 0-4 SEC record in 2023, its first season under Hugh Freeze, after falling to Texas A&M 27-10 on Sept. 23, Georgia 27-20 on Sept. 30, LSU 48-18 on Oct. 14 and Ole Miss 28-21 on Oct. 21. Between Brown and Freeze, Ralph “Shug” Jordan, Doug Barfield, Pat Dye, Terry Bowden, Tommy Tuberville, Gene Chizik, Gus Malzahn and Bryan Harsin each won at least one of his first two league games at Auburn.

104 Rushing yards for Mississippi State in the Bulldogs’ past three games against Auburn. Against the Tigers, MSU had 19 rushing yards in a 24-10 loss in 2020, 72 rushing yards in a 43-34 victory in 2021 and 13 rushing yards in a 39-33 overtime victory in 2022. Auburn’s current scoring streak is the 10th-longest in SEC history, and its record streak is the ninth-longest.

QB Dak Prescott holds the MSU record with 11,897 yards – 9,376 passing yards and 2,521 rushing yards. Rogers missed last week’s 7-3 victory over Arkansas because of a shoulder injury after making 38 consecutive starts for the Bulldogs. In MSU’s past two games against Auburn, Rogers had 772 passing yards and nine TD passes.

1,057 Passing yards for Auburn this season, the fewest in the SEC and 127th out of the 133 NCAA FBS teams. The Tigers’ average of 151.0 passing yards per game is the lowest in the SEC by 45.7 yards per game. The Mississippi State defense has given up an average of 239.7 passing yards per game.
