Two of the meetings came in the Sun Bowl – a 34-10 loss to Auburn on Dec. 28, 1968, and a 13-13 tie with Georgia on Dec. 28, 1985. Arizona lost to Auburn in 1977, LSU in 1984, 2003 and 2006 and Mississippi State in 2022.

2 Arizona running backs have had at least 100 receptions after Michael Wiley had six receptions for 57 yards in the Wildcats’ 38-3 victory over Northern Arizona last week. Wiley has 101 receptions for 901 yards and seven TDs to rank second to Vance Johnson on the career list of receptions for Arizona running backs. Johnson had 104 receptions for 1,014 yards and 11 TDs for the Wildcats from 1981 through 1984.

4 TD passes for Mississippi State QB Will Rogers in the Bulldogs’ 39-17 victory over Arizona last season. Rogers completed 39-of-48 passes for 313 yards with one interception against the Wildcats. With 84 career TD passes, Rogers ranks eighth on the SEC career list – three behind No. 7 Tua Tagovailoa of Alabama. The conference record is 121 TD passes by Georgia’s Aaron Murray from 2010 through 2013.

4 Previous games against Pac-12 teams for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs defeated Washington in 1977 and Arizona in 2022 and lost to Oregon in 2002 and 2003. All the games were regular-season contests.

5 Receptions are needed by Mississippi State RB Jo’quavious Marks to become the school’s career leader. Current record-holder Fred Ross had 199 receptions for 2,528 yards and 22 TDs for the Bulldogs from 2013 through 2016.

30 Passing yards are needed by Arizona QB Jayden de Laura to become the 13th Wildcats player with at least 4,000. In his first season at Arizona, de Laura threw for 3,685 yards in 2022, then opened the 2023 season with 285 passing yards in a 38-3 victory over Northern Arizona last week. De Laura completed 23-of-45 passes for 220 yards with one TD and three interceptions in Arizona’s 39-17 loss to Mississippi State last season.

37 Consecutive games with a reception for Mississippi State RB Jo’quavious Marks, who has caught a pass in every game in his college career. Marks has 195 receptions for 1,117 yards and three TDs. Marks holds the school record for consecutive games with a reception.

45 Consecutive games with a reception for Arizona WR Jacob Cowing, the longest streak in the nation. Cowing is in his second season with Arizona after three seasons at UTEP. Cowing has 229 receptions for 3,667 yards and 21 TDs in his career and started the 2023 season with three receptions for 38 yards and one TD in Arizona’s 38-3 victory over Northern Arizona last week.

127 Yards and two TDs on 19 rushing attempts for Mississippi State RB Jo’Quavious Marks in the Bulldogs’ 48-7 victory over Southeastern Louisiana last week. Marks became the first MSU ball-carrier to reach 100 rushing yards in a game since Kylin Hill ran for 132 yards on 27 carries in a 21-10 victory over Ole Miss on Nov. 28, 2019.

1,179 Career completions for Mississippi State QB Will Rogers, 258 more than any other player in SEC history. Rogers also holds the conference record for career passes with 1,668, the most in SEC history by 115.

2,950 Passing yards are needed by Mississippi State QB Will Rogers to become the SEC career leader. Georgia QB Aaron Murray had 13,562 passing yards from 2010 through 2013 to set the conference mark. Rogers also needs 2,258 yards of total offense (passing yards plus rushing yards) to break Murray’s conference career record of 13,166.
