Missing Ohio woman’s car found near Cheaha State Park in Alabama, authorities say

A car belonging to an Ohio woman reported missing last week was found at a trail head near Cheaha State Park in Alabama, authorities said.

Vendula “Wendy” Rose, a Marysville, Ohio resident who was last seen Sept. 24, went on a camping trip to Alabama and was set to head home Oct. 2 but never returned, according to the Marysville, Ohio Police Division.

The Cleburne County Sheriff’ Office said they found a silver Honda Accord with the Ohio tag “CHKSFLY” that Rose was driving at the trail head near Cheaha State Park.

On Saturday, the sheriff’s office released asked residents to be on the lookout for Rose near the park.

“At this point a direction of travel on the trail is unknown,” the office said.

Marysville police officers are on the ground in Alabama searching for Rose.
