Missing mother found dead in central Alabama, daughter taken to hospital
A 78-year-old mother who disappeared with her daughter over the weekend has been found dead while her 59-year-old daughter was taken to a local hospital after they were discovered in a vehicle in northern Chilton County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency cancelled missing and endangered person alerts Tuesday for Patricia Gardner Dennis, 78, and Teresa Lynne Fisher, 59, who had been missing from Autauga County since Saturday.
Both women, ALEA said, were living with conditions that may impair their judgment.
The agency did not say why the alert was cancelled, but the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office told AL.com that Dennis was found dead while Fisher was taken to a local hospital.
The mother and daughter were found in a vehicle on I-65 in northern Chilton County, according to WSFA.
It was not immediately clear when Dennis and Fisher were discovered.
