A man who was reported missing Friday has been identified as a victim of a hit-and-run accident earlier in the week, according to Mobile Police.

According to police, Jonathan Braswell, 50, was struck by a vehicle while walking in the area of Greenlawn Drive and Morningside Drive. The driver did not stop.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Through identification methods, Braswell was identified as the missing individual late Friday night.

This case is now being worked by traffic homicide investigators.
