Miss Alabama’s Teen 2023: Meet 38 teens competing for the crown
A total of 38 teenagers will compete for the title of Miss Alabama’s Teen this weekend at Thompson High School in Alabaster. (See their names and photos in the gallery above.)
The competition, which is affiliated with Miss Alabama, is set for March 11-12 at the school’s performing arts center, 1921 Warrior Parkway. Preliminaries are set for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday. Finals will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Hailey Adams, Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen 2022, will crown her successor on Sunday. Tickets are $25 for each preliminary, $35 for the finals, $60 for a package that includes all three events. (Note: The name of the competition has been changed for 2023, dropping the word “Outstanding” to make it simpler and more concise.)

The contestants, ages 13-18, will compete in three categories: physical fitness, talent and evening wear/social impact initiative statement. Also, each candidate will have a private interview with the judges before the preliminaries.
The winner of Miss Alabama’s Teen will move on to compete for Miss America’s Teen later this year. Morgan Greco, who competed as Miss Washington’s Outstanding Teen, is the current Miss America’s Teen.
Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen was founded in 2003 and has crowned 21 winners to date. See the full list here. Two Alabama winners, Marcelle LeBlanc and Jessica Baeder, have moved on to become Miss America’s Outstanding Teen.

Also, girls who participate in Miss Alabama’s Teen often move on to the Miss Alabama competition. Lindsay Fincher, Lauren Bradford and Tiara Pennington, all recent winners of Miss Alabama, came up through the teen competition.
