Minor High School Assistant Principal Falante Perry died Monday, Jefferson County Schools confirmed Tuesday.

Information on Perry’s age and cause of death was not immediately available.

Kalvin Eaton, principal of Minor High School in Adamsville, remembered Perry for his generosity, kindness, humor and compassion.

“Mr. Perry would go out of his way to help a student, staff member, or parent. His sense of humor and compassion were apparent in all his interactions. He will be genuinely missed,” Eaton said in a statement sent to AL.com by Jefferson County Schools.

“On behalf of Minor High School, I have extended our sincere condolences to Mr. Perry’s family on this sad occasion,” Eaton said.
