Deric L. McGee, 28, of Millport, died in a single-vehicle crash at 5:34 a.m. on Alabama Hwy. 96 at mile marker 3, according to Corporal Reginal M. King with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

According to the ALEA report, McGee’s 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was approximately two miles west of Millport in Lamar County when he struck a ditch and overturned. McGee was not wearing a seat belt.

ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
