A 17-year-old male from Grand Rapids, Mich., died Tuesday when he fell from a balcony at a Destin, Fla., condominium.

Investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office say “alcohol is believed to be a factor” in the incident.

Deputies were called to the Jetty East Condominiums on Gulf Shore Drive about 4:10 a.m. Tuesday after another condo guest reported a body on the ground near an entry way.

When deputies arrived, they found the teen, already deceased, according to the OCSO, which termed the incident a “tragic Spring Break death.”
