Miamiâs Tua Tagovailoa gets right-handed touchdown pass
The Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa is climbing the NFL list of touchdown passes by a left-handed quarterback.
With two touchdown tosses in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, the former Alabama All-American has 58, which ranks ninth in NFL history among left-handed throwers.
But Tagovailoa threw his 58th NFL touchdown pass with his right hand.
In the second quarter on Sunday, Tagovailoa appeared to be waiting for wide receiver Tyreek Hill to come by so he could hand the football to the West Alabama speedster on an end-around.
Instead, Tagovailoa flipped the football with his right hand to running back Devon Achane for a no-look, 4-yard touchdown pass as Miami took a 21-7 lead with 10:16 left in the first half.
