Memorial Day slaying of 37-year-old Birmingham man ruled justifiable
The fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man on Memorial Day weekend in Birmingham has been ruled justifiable, police said Friday.
Glen Junior Morrow, 37, of Birmingham, was found dead of a gunshot wound May 27 in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 420 78th St. South. He was one of six people killed over Memorial Day weekend.
Investigators determined an argument took place before Morrow was shot. The suspect then fled on foot.
The investigation’s findings were forwarded to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, which determined Morrow’s slaying was justified, said Officer Truman Fitzgerald with Birmingham police.
No charges will be filed in connection with the deadly shooting.
