The Coastal Alabama Terrific 22 high school softball team honors the top players regardless of class, position or school year.

Six teams from the area earned spots in the AHSAA state championship tournament with Class 4A Orange Beach winning a state title while Class 7A Daphne and Class 1A Leroy won to the championship before losing.

Class 6A Baldwin County and Class 5A Gulf Shores each tied for fifth while Class 3A Excel was also in the field.

Orange Beach, the ASWA Class 4A top-ranked team throughout the season and ranked No. 1 in the nation among the MaxPreps top 25, placed five players among the Terrific 22.
