Medical pot passed on, cemetery found, generation spat: Down in Alabama

From today’s Down in Alabama podcast:

I’ll report this on Generation X to get a profile in your head: We now go up to 57 years old, and Kurt Cobain hasn’t been the voice of our people for a long time.

Now it’s probably The Rock or Adam Sandler or somebody. I’m not sure. Kim Kardashian? Jay Z?

Every time we start to pick somebody we lose interest. Joe Rogan? Elon Musk? Whatever.

We are, incidentally, the first generation to regularly multi-task a live video game, an Instagram timeline and the AARP membership benefits web page on different Safari tabs at the same time.

Still, Sen. Tommy Tuberville lumped us in with Millennials among generations that need to pick it up when it comes to work ethic.

More on that on today’s report on the podcast. Also today, we have a city that doesn’t want a medical-marijuana dispensary, and why, and an apparently forgotten cemetery that was literally stumbled upon.
