McDonald’s extends $5 value meal: How long will it be around?

If you were a fan of McDonald’s $5 value meal, you’re in luck.

McDonald’s is extending the meal beyond its initial four-week window in most of its U.S. markets, reports NBC News. The fast food chain says the offer is driving traffic back to restaurants.

The extension comes after 93% of its restaurants voted to extend the promotion past its original end date this month, CNBC reported. The offer was first launched in June and was to last about a month. Now, it’s likely it will be extended through August, the report indicated.

The meal includes a McDouble cheeseburger or a McChicken sandwich, small french fries, 4-piece chicken nuggets and small soft drink.
