McDonald’s offering Filet-O-Fish deal for Lent

McDonald’s is offering a deal on its Filet-O-Fish sandwich for the season of Lent.

Customers who purchase the crispy fish sandwich will be able to get a second for just $1, reports Cleveland.com. The deal started on Feb. 14, the first day of Lent, and will run through late March. This year, Lent ends on Thursday, March 28. The offer is only good at participating locations, so be sure to check ahead to make sure your restaurant of choice has the deal available.

The McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish features a crispy fish filet patty on melty American cheese, topped with creamy McDonald’s tartar sauce and served on a soft, steamed bun.

This month, McDonald’s also announced the return of the Shamrock shake. The St. Patrick’s Day-inspired green shake is on the menu at participating restaurants while supplies last. In January, the chain announced the return of the Double Big Mac.

2024 is a year of changes for McDonald’s. Earlier this year, the restaurant announced its hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, McDouble burger and Big Macs will all have meltier cheese and fresher tomatoes and lettuce. The fast food chain will also add onions to burger patties while the meat is on the grill and grill six patties at a time instead of eight.
