McAdory earns big road win at Central-Tuscaloosa
McAdory rolled past Central-Tuscaloosa 42-14 on the road on Friday as senior quarterback Jacob Clopton threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more.
The Yellow Jackets improved to 3-2 on the year, 2-1 in Class 6A, Region 4 and snapped Central’s three-game winning streak. The Falcons are also 3-2, 2-1.
Clopton passed for 64 yards, hitting 8-of-21 attempts, and sophomore Justin Patton was 2-for-3 for 42 yards with a TD.
Junior wide receiver Sean Tolbert caught two passes for 37 yards and a touchdown to lead the Yellow Jackets. Jacorey Whitted and Carter Feagin also caught touchdown passes in the win.
Safety Antario Washington returned an interception 75 yards for a score on the final play of the opening half.
McAdory is off next week while Central travels to Aliceville.
