Marshall probing after thousands stolen from Alabama firefighters

The Alabama attorney general’s office is reportedly investigating after thousands of dollars disappeared from an account belonging to volunteer firefighters in the northern part of the state.

Attorney General Steve Marshall’s office is getting involved after the theft targeting the Limestone County Association of Volunteer Firefighters, WAFF reported Thursday.

No arrests have been made, a Limestone County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson told the station, although a referral for investigation was sent to Marshall’s office.
