One man was injured during a single-vessel crash Tuesday night in Mobile County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash occurred at about 8:50 p.m. when an 18-foot Center Console boat struck a rock barrier near the Dauphin Island Bridge.

The occupants on the boat were Haven Freewill Pomeroy, 36, and, Zebediah Eli Basewell, 32, both from Tennessee.

Pomeroy was ejected from the vessel during the crash and taken to USA Health University Hospital in Mobile to be treated.

The incident continues to be investigated by ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division.
