One man is dead and another in custody on a murder charge following a shooting at the Cullman City parking deck early Sunday morning.

Later Sunday, Christopher Dean Eugene Brown, 20, of Empire, was located and apprehended by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office and charged with the death of Roberto Juarez Ramos, 23, of Blountsville.

Around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, Cullman City Communications received a call concerning a shooting at the Cullman City parking deck. Responding officers found Ramos deceased there.

In announcing Brown’s arrest on social media, the Cullman Police Department thanked Walker County Sheriff’s Office and their own Cullman Police Department Patrol Division and Investigation Division for their work on the case.
