A Montgomery man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in the city, police said.

Montgomery police and fire medics responded to the 2600 block of Zelda Road on a report of a person shot, said Lt. David Wise.

At the scene, authorities found Rodriquez Harris Jr., 24, of Montgomery, with a fatal gunshot wound, said Wise.

Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further information on the homicide was unavailable as police continued investigating the deadly shooting.
