An afternoon shooting at a Jefferson County home left a man dead.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just before 4 p.m. Wednesday to the 400 block of Fifth Street in Robinwood on a report of a shooting.

The victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Lt. Joni Money said detectives are at the home. Circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting have not yet been disclosed.

The man’s identity has not yet been released. He is the 121st homicide this year in all of Jefferson County.
