Baldwin County authorities are asking for the public’s help in an investigation into an early morning shooting in Foley.

According to the Foley Police Department, officers responded around 5:10 a.m. on a report of gunfire in the 200 block of East Berry Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found that a man had been shot. The victim was later taken to the South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley for treatment, but later died from his injuries.

Foley police later identified the victim as Ronald Joe Barnett of Foley.

The Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit has assumed command of this ongoing investigation, and is asking anyone who has information related to this case, to contact them at (251) 937-0202.
