Man shot and killed by Huntsville police identified
A man Huntsville police shot and killed early Saturday while investigating a report of domestic violence on the south side of the city has been identified, according to TV reports.
Christopher Robin Osborne, 49, was pronounced dead on the scene, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency told news outlets. Efforts by AL.com reach ALEA were not immediately successful.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight Saturday when officers responded to a domestic violence call on the 2100 block of Chadburn Drive Southwest.
“While officers were attempting to make contact with an armed individual involved, the individual was shot and killed,” said Rosalind White, HPD Public Information Officer in a press release. “No officers were injured during the incident.”
