Man killed, suspect injured in Montgomery domestic shooting Thursday

A man was killed and the suspect who allegedly shot him was injured in a domestic incident Thursday afternoon in Montgomery, police said.

Montgomery police and fire medics responded to the 6800 block of Eastchase Parkway around 2:55 p.m. Monday on a call of a disturbance and a person shot, said Maj. Saba Coleman.

Police found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, who was not publicly identified as of Thursday night, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Coleman.

Police also found a male suspected of shooting the victim at a local hospital, where the suspect was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The suspect was taken into police custody.

Charges against the alleged gunman are pending once he is released from the hospital, Coleman said.
