Man killed in north Alabama crash that injured 1-year-old, 3 others

A 20-year-old man was killed in a Friday-evening crash that injured four other people, including a 1-year-old.

Kevin M. Clements, a 20-year-old from Grant, died at Huntsville Hospital after the crash, according to state troopers. The crash happened about six miles east of Arab on Alabama 69 in Marshall County at about 5:30 p.m.

Clements was a passenger in a Nissan Cube that collided head-on with a GMC Sierra, said Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal, a spokesman for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, in a press release. O’Neal said Clements was not wearing a seat belt.

The 20-year-old driver and a 1-year-old passenger of the Cube, along with the 61-year-old driver and 60-year-old passenger of the Sierra were all taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the incident.
