A Walker County man was killed early Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Michael T. Foster. He was 40 and lived in Cordova.

The wreck happened at 9:27 a.m. on Alabama 5, about two miles south of Jasper, said Senior Trooper Justin O’Neal.

Authorities said Foster was driving a Nissan Altima that left the road, struck a tree and overturned. Foster, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
