A Union Springs man died in a multi-vehicle crash on Friday morning near Montgomery, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Eugene Lysykanycz, 76, died at the scene on Alabama Highway 110, about nine miles east of Montgomery. The crash happened at 10:15 a.m. Friday.

Lysykanycz was driving a 2010 Volvo CC Sport that was struck by a 2024 GMC 2500, according to senior trooper Joshua Thompson. After the initial crash, the Volvo then struck a 2023 Mack MD6 commercial truck, according to state troopers.

Troopers are investigating the crash.
