Man found shot to death in vehicle after hitting Midfield house
An overnight shooting in Midfield left one man dead.
Just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of 12th Avenue to investigate a person slumped over inside a vehicle.
Once they arrived, deputies determine the man had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Lt. Joni Money said investigators believe the victim’s vehicle left the road, struck a house and then came to a stop back on the road.
The victim, whose identity hasn’t been released, was pronounced dead on the scene. No one in the house was injured.
No arrests have been made.
The victim is the 36th homicide to happen countywide this year.
