Man arrested in Mississippi with gun hidden in Taco Bell quesadilla, police say
Two people pulled over by police took “concealed carry” to a new level, Mississippi authorities said.
Officers found a handgun hidden inside a folded quesadilla from Taco Bell, police said.
A man in the passenger’s seat shoved the gun inside the quesadilla soon before its discovery during the traffic stop the afternoon of April 14 in Picayune, according to the Picayune Police Department.
In addition to the gun, officers found methamphetamine, liquid heroin and drug paraphernalia as they searched the car, police said in an April 15 news release shared to Facebook.
The man was arrested on charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of paraphernalia, according to authorities.
“#Tacoaboutnotcool,” police wrote in the Facebook post.
The woman driving the car was cited for disregarding a traffic device and was released, police said.
Picayune is about 50 miles northeast of New Orleans, Louisiana.
