A Nashville man was arrested after he allegedly drove a 13-year-old girl from Alabama to Tennessee for sex.

Alexander Xo Sub, 22, told police he had sex with the girl twice and believed she was either 16 or 17, according to court records, reported Nashville NBC affiliate WSMV on Monday.

Sub also told police he had consensual sex with the girl at his Nashville home. Minors cannot legally give consent.

Police said Sub drove the girl from Hoover to Nashville on June 30.

He was charged with two counts of statutory rape and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, WSMV reported.

It was unclear whether more charges against Sub are forthcoming.
