Man arrested after 2 critically wounded near central Alabama home
A man was arrested and is expected to be charged with attempted murder after two people were discovered critically wounded near a home Friday afternoon in central Alabama, authorities said.
Chilton County sheriff’s deputies and Clanton police officers responded to the incident around 3:45 p.m. Friday in Marbury, the sheriff’s office said.
While the person who called authorities about the incident reported that the victims were shot, law enforcement did not find any evidence showing the victims’ injuries were caused by gunshots, according to the sheriffs’ office.
The suspect, identified as Timothy Graves, emerged from the porch of the home when authorities took him into custody without incident.
Authorities found the victims near the house. They were taken to an air ambulance.
The sheriff’s office characterized the victims’ conditions as “grave.”
ABC 33/40 reported the victims are Graves’ parents.
Further information was unavailable.
