Florence police say a man who was a little too proud of himself on social media after eluding a police chase Wednesday is now in custody.

Titus Knight has been charged with felony attempting to elude and several traffic citations.

According to police, a patrol unit saw a white motorcycle Wednesday driving “at a high rate of speed” near Florence Boulevard and County Road 61.

When the officer began a chase with emergency lights, the motorcycle operator increased his speed and a chase ensued on Florence Boulevard, with speeds reaching in excess of 100 m.p.h.

According to the department, the officer pursing made a decision to stop the chase for safety reasons.

However, investigators later discovered a Snapchat which tagged Florence Police, with the caption, “Your Tahoe needs a tune up buddy @flopd.” Police say the account was traced to Knight.

“The individual’s Snapchat handle is also his inmate number,” the department said in a news release.
