Make your choice for the Week 9 State Volleyball Player of the Week
The Alabama High School Athletic Association volleyball area tournaments wrapped up last week with the super regional tourneys set to start on Wednesday. With so much on the line, the student-athletes involved stepped up with some top performances.
Check out these nominees for State Volleyball Player of the Week, in alphabetical order, chosen based on information provided by coaches and statisticians and vote for your favorite.
Voting will end Thursday at 5 p.m. and results will be posted on Friday.

The Week 9 nominees:
Emmy Beech, Bayshore Christian: The sophomore outside hitter finished with 27 kills, 25 digs and 6 aces as the Eagles won the Class 2A, Area 1 tournament title with a 3-1 win over Washington County.
Lauren Buchanan, Chelsea: Buchanan, a junior for the Hornets, had 63 kills and 36 digs as Chelsea won the 6A, Area 8 title with a 3-2 win over Pelham.
Riley Green, Lindsay Lane: The sophomore finished the 2A, Area 15 tournament with 67 assists and 22 digs as the Lions fell in the championship to Lexington.
Macy Lea, Cherokee County: The Class 4A, Area 12 tournament most valuable player had 62 assists and 12 digs as the seventh-ranked Warriors beat Alexandria 3-2 for the title.
Riley Lovell, Bob Jones: The senior setter had 70 assists, 10 digs and 5 kills in a 3-0 win over Austin in the 7A Area 8 finals. Class 7A second-ranked Bob Jones improved to 47-9 on the season.
Anna Moore, Trinity: The senior standout earned MVP honors as top-ranked Class 5A Trinity beat Montgomery Catholic for the Area 6 crown. She had 22 digs and 32 kills with 7 aces for the Wildcats (35-10).
Julie Roberts, Briarwood Christian: A sophomore outside hitter, Roberts finished with 27 kills, 18 digs, 5 aces and 3 blocks as the Lions won the 5A, Area 8 title with a 3-1 win over Sylacauga.
Baylee Rogers, Prattville Christian: Rogers earned all-tournament honors as the Class 4A No. 1 Panthers swept their way to the Area 5 title. She had 53 assists, 14 aces and 3 digs for PCA.
Carley Stephens, Vinemont: The Class 3A, Area 11 tournament MVP had 30 kills, 12 digs, 5 blocks and 5 aces. No. 10 Vinemont beat Locust Fork 3-1 in the semifinals and swept Holly Pond 3-0.
Addi Vinson, Montgomery Academy: The senior setter Vinson had 53 assists, 15 aces and 7 digs in wins over Percy Julian and Stanhope Elmore as the No. 1 Eagles improved to 49-3 with the 6A, Area 4 tourney title. Vinson is 21 assists short of 5,000 in her career.
