Madison school board approves $49 million elementary school contract
The Madison Board of Education approved a construction contract on Wednesday for a $49 million elementary school in Limestone County.
Pearce Construction was the low bidder among five companies vying to build what will be the district’s eighth elementary school. “It was a great bid,” Superintendent Ed Nichols said. “The cost of bids has been significantly higher in the last few years, but this bid was well under our construction budget of $58 million.”
