Madison County sheriff discusses keeping up with Huntsville’s growth, getting fentanyl off the streets
Kevin Turner went full circle in his law enforcement career when he was elected Madison County sheriff in 2018.
He began that career with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in 1991, starting in the patrol division before transferring over to investigations, working on gang investigations, violent crimes and the gang unit.
Turner moved to work under former District Attorney Tim Morgan and current DA Rob Broussard, where he headed up the gang task force working with the county’s law enforcement agencies and later served as chief investigator.
Turner ran for sheriff after retiring from the district attorney’s office.
He recently participated in a question-and-answer session with the Lede.
