Madison County filling schools quicker than they can be built, superintendent says
Madison County Superintendent Ken Kubik is in his first term, having taken office in January.
He has been an educator in Madison County for 27 years after working one year with Decatur City Schools. He has served in a variety of roles in his education career. He’s been a teacher, coach, assistant principal, acting principal, coordinator of secondary education and interim superintendent prior to taking office.
Before becoming an educator, he was a law enforcement officer in California. His father was a Marine. He moved around the country and even lived in Japan as a member of a military family.
Kubik recently participated in a question-and-answer session with the Lede.
