Lynette Hardaway of Diamond and Silk dead at 51: ‘Bad news for Republicans,’ Trump says

Donald Trump called the death of Diamond of Diamond and Silk bad news for “All Americans.”

Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway, a supporter of the former president died at 51. The cause of death is not known.

Calling her death “really bad news for Republicans,” former President Donald Trump said on his Truth Social platform, “Our beautiful Diamond of Diamond and Silk has just passed away at her home in the state she loved so much, North Carolina.”

Trump said, “Diamond’s death was totally unexpected.”

Trump announced Hardaway’s death on Truth Social Monday night, with the duo’s social media accounts later confirming the news.

“There was no better TEAM anywhere, or at any time! Diamond’s death was totally unexpected, probably her big and precious HEART just plain gave out. Rest In Peace our Magnificent Diamond, you will be greatly missed!” Trump wrote.

Diamond and Silk’s accounts confirmed Hardaway’s death shortly after Trump’s post, tweeting that “The World just lost a True Angel and Warrior Patriot for Freedom, Love, and Humanity!”

The Diamond and Silk duo, a pair of sister entertainers who gained notoriety for their political comments on their YouTube page, have been some of Trump’s most vocal supporters since his 2016 campaign for president.
