LT Overton returns to Alabama football practice
Alabama football welcomed back a key defender to practice on Saturday.
LT Overton, the Texas A&M transfer, took part in the practice viewing period that was open to reporters. The Bandit defender missed the first two days of preseason camp because he wasn’t feeling well, defensive coordinator Kane Wommack said Thursday.
Overton is in contention for snaps at the Bandit spot, which is essentially a hybrid defensive end/edge rusher in Wommack’s “Swarm” defense. Overton transferred to the Crimson Tide after playing two seasons for the Aggies. Over those two seasons, Overton started four games and saw time in 23 matchups. Overton is a former five-star prospect.
