2 Previous LSU-Florida State games featured two ranked teams as Sunday’s does. The No. 12 Tigers defeated the No. 7 Seminoles 55-21 on Nov. 20, 1982, and No. 12 Florida State defeated No. 13 LSU 40-35 on Sept. 10, 1983. Both games were played in Baton Rouge. At least one team has been ranked in each of the programs’ previous 10 meetings, except for last year’s game.

2 Games in a row at Camping World Stadium for LSU and Florida State. LSU ended the 2022 season with a 63-7 victory over Purdue in the Citrus Bowl and Florida State closed the 2022 campaign with a 35-32 victory over Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl. The games were played in Camping World Stadium four days apart.
3 Consecutive season-opening games have been lost by LSU, the only time that’s happened since the Tigers began the 1991 through 1995 seasons by losing to Texas A&M. LSU lost to Mississippi State 44-34 in 2020, UCLA 38-27 in 2021 and Florida State 24-23 in 2022 in season-opening games.
3 Losses in 27 games against ACC members for LSU. The Tigers lost to Maryland 13-0 on Nov. 5, 1955, in their first game against an SEC opponent, fell to Clemson 25-24 in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Dec. 31, 2012, and lost to Florida State 24-23 in the opening game of the 2022 season.
4 Active NCAA FBS players have at least 5,500 passing yards and 1,700 rushing yards in their careers, including LSU QB Jayden Daniels and Florida State QB Jordan Travis. Daniels has 8,938 passing yards and 2,173 rushing yards. Travis has 5,959 passing yards and 1,774 rushing yards. The other players are UTSA QB Frank Harris, who has 9,356 passing yards and 1,822 rushing yards, and Ole Miss QB Spencer Sanders, who had 9,553 passing yards and 1,956 rushing yards over the previous four seasons at Oklahoma State.
5 Offensive-line starters and 2022′s leading passer, rusher and receiver return for LSU. QB Jayden Daniels threw for 2,913 yards and ran for 885 yards, and WR Malik Nabers had 1,017 receiving yards for the Tigers in 2022.

8 Victories for Florida State and two for LSU in the Seminoles-Tigers series. Florida State has won the past five meetings. Saturday’s game will be third non-campus meeting. LSU’s 31-27 victory in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 30, 1968, came in their first meeting. Last year, Florida State won 24-23 in New Orleans by blocking an extra-point attempt with no time left.
9 Consecutive victories for Florida State in Orlando. The Seminoles have a 10-0-2 record in games played there. The Seminoles’ winning streak started after a 17-17 tie with Georgia in the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 22, 1984. The other tie occurred in Florida State’s first game in Orlando – a 6-6 deadlock with Stetson on Nov. 1, 1952.
56 Victories, 72 losses and seven ties for Florida State in games against SEC opponents. The Seminoles defeated LSU 24-23 and Florida 45-38 in 2022.
214 Combined college starts for Florida State’s offensive linemen. The Seminoles have seven offensive linemen who have started at least 20 games. FSU also returns its leading passer, rusher and receiver from 2022. QB Jordan Travis threw for 3,214 yards, RB Trey Benson ran for 990 yards and WR Johnny Wilson had 897 receiving yards.
294 Victories as a college head coach for LSU’s Brian Kelly, the most among current NCAA FBS head coaches.
885 Rushing yards and 11 rushing TDs for LSU’s Jayden Daniels in 2022 to set school single-season quarterback records. Daniels also completed 266-of-388 passes for 2,913 yards with 17 TDs and three interceptions last season. In the Tigers’ 24-23 loss to Florida State in 2022′s season-opening game, Daniels threw for 209 yards and two TDs and ran for 114 yards.
